MARKETING COORDINATOR for KED Interiors and At Home

We are looking for a marketing professional with an eye for design to join our team. We have a collaborative, fun environment located in Barrington, IL. We are open to someone working part time or full time with flexibility.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a marketing position.
  • Experienced management and communication skills within social media.
  • Eye for design and photography.
  • Demonstrated experience writing.
  • Fluent in Adobe and Microsoft Suites
  • Enjoy working with a team and possesses a positive can-do attitude.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Create & manage overall yearly marketing plan.
  • Assist with photoshoots to ensure branding alignment across all platforms (social media, website, and print ads).
  • Write KED contributions to magazines and blog.
  • Work with graphic designer to implement branding package on ad layouts, etc.
  • Work with design team to capture and create social media content.
  • Stage and photograph vignettes in KED At Home for social media.
  • Expand KED brand into new marketing avenues.
  • Create promotional materials, ads, & online content.
  • Manage relationships with editors and submission deadlines.
  • Attend networking events.
  • Plan and coordinate events for KED.
  • Update profile and increase exposure on sites (ie. Houzz, ASID, google).
  • Work with SEO expert for KED At Home online shopping exposure.

Commitment: Option of Full-Time with flexible schedule or Part -Time

Compensation and Benefits:

Interior Designer

As an Interior Designer you will have the opportunity to work on a range of high-end interior design projects from conceptualization to development through installation. You will assist with all aspects of the project including design management and client engagement.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design
  • Min. of 3 years of experience in an Interior Design firm or related field (4-6 years of experience preferred)
  • Proficient in 2D CAD
  • Positive team player with great communication skills
  • Proactive self-starter with detailed follow-through and completion
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Willingness to try new things, think outside of the box and problem solve
  • Strong design style and taste that aligns with the design team
  • High attention to detail
  • Experience in Studio Designer/Sketch-up and photoshop a plus
  • Passion for interior design

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist & Collaborate with Senior lead designers in projects from concept through installation for residential, hospitality and commercial projects
  • Preparation of schematic design concepts
  • Maintain communication and collaborate with Clients, Contractors, and Vendors
  • Design custom furniture, cabinetry, and more to achieve function and design goals
  • Prepare presentations and design boards
  • Design, space plan and architectural detail drawings
  • Assist with project management
  • Specify and Source Furniture and Fixtures
  • Gather product specifications, samples, and pricing, Project documentation (i.e.. Product schedules, timelines, & construction documents.)
  • Pick-up and return product and samples
  • Maintain client and vendor files
  • Design Window Treatments and specify fabrics
  • Accessorize rooms and style rooms for photo shoots
  • Travel to projects within 2 hours of our office as well as long distance projects (typically one project a year)
  • Assist with Instagram stories posts of the projects you are working on.
  • Attend industry events to keep current on latest products and trends and be inspired

Commitment: Full-Time Hours: Monday- Friday 9-5

Compensation and Benefits:
