2021 VISION IWCE First Place Award Winner - Combination Treatments

There is nothing quite as satisfying - and challenging - to a design team that handles every aspect of a new build. From exterior architectural decisions to the most minute interior details, this huge project involved floor plans, functionality, lighting, furniture, artwork and window treatments - the list goes on. And on.

Foremost on the clients’ wish list was to capitalize on the incredible lake view beginning with the double-height foyer that opens to a huge expanse of Nano doors. A glass wine room, porch and decks, open cable railing and dramatic floating walnut staircase all contribute to the airiness and breath-taking beauty of the great room with its adjoining dining room, kitchen, wet bar and elevator.

The first-floor master bedroom is a true sanctuary with a unique custom built wall unit and faux finished walls in pewter and blues. The floating mirror in the master bath separates a double vanity of iceberg quartzite. In the upstairs loft, two offices are buffered by a sitting room and reveal incomparable lake views. Custom desks, credenzas and office and reading chairs provide ergonomic comfort and flexibility. An outdoor deck is inviting for coffee, lunch or drinks. A library and exercise room are at the ready below.

The home is graced by stone fireplaces, walnut and limestone floors, superb metallic details, luxurious fabrics, custom rugs and furniture and smart, beautiful window treatments. The consistent color theme throughout of midnight and steel blues, stormy grays, cream and tan ties the entire home together with calmness and serenity.
